Rick Warren Bible Study Steps

  1. Read and make observations.
  2. Ask the right questions
    1. What did this Scripture mean when it was written?
    2. What is the timeless truth behind that God is saying?
    3. How does it apply now to me?
  3. Apply what you’ve learned – From ‘what’ to ‘so what’ – "Interpretation without application is abortion" (RW)
  4. Study systematically: book-by-book, topic-by-topic, or them-by-theme
  5. Read the Bible over and over again
